| NOTE THESE AREN'T COMPLETE...but some are downright hilarious!
- Highway road signs not saying detour/tunnel ahead, but... VILLAGE AHEAD!!!
- I was on my way to home @ Pune from Mumbai in a coach, & at
around 6am, while nicely driving along a bridge I started to wonder why
on Earth there were cars on the other half of the bridge going in the
same direction. I didn't initially think much of it figuring it was a
one-way bridge, cuz there was another nearby, until.....A BUS WENT
SCREECHING BY TO THE RIGHT!
- Same bus ride, my mom & I (2 people that have absolutely any
clue about where to find anything in Pune), ended up giving the driver
directions to drop somebody else off!!! Mind you this is a job they do
on a daily basis!
- The awesome waterfalls, canyons, gorges, hills, mountains,
plains, cows, donkeys... ON Car Rides.
I also happened to notice a boating service close to a waterfall (at
the top where the water fell). Small wonder no one was there. SIDE NOTE: POTHOLES! POTHOLES! POTHOLES!
- Standing in the Mithai (indian sweet) shop (Karachi Sweets) in the morning, with the power gone, so it's a bit dark....and a customer comes in and says...the powers out!
shop attendant says sarcastically: "Gee I haven't noticed! (turning to me) Have you???". (turns back to the other guy) "Boy you must be really observant!"
(K it was funnier in Hindi/Sindi)
- Saw several temples during the week. They are very beautiful, some are just plain stunning to look at.
- Visited a couple of my Uncle's contractor sites... and they were
alright...just a container with a couple of office desks and mounds of
gravel, cement & asphalt (ass-fault :P)
- Uncle showing me his entire wardrobe, and while showing me a blue shirt:
"Nice Shit yeah?"
I could do nothing but concur! I have to be respectful ;)
- Eating Misal Pao, which was bloody spicy. The top of the mutkee (the vegetable)...was all red!!! :D
- Eating Dhai Pooris (amazing stuff) in a rickshaw, while it was raining.
- GOING TO A BRAND NEW GYM....FOR DINNER!!!! Tehehehe! The view there was Gnarly!!!
- Sleeping in the afternoon!
- Spiderman in Hindi! AHAHAHAHAHA!
- Rickshsaws. DA-DANG!!! DA-DANG!!! DA-DANG!!! ahahaha vrrmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
- Supposed to take 1 hour shopping on this street called Laxmi Road. My mum, & aunt decide to join me. OH BHOY!
1h 45mins later, we only ended up finishing 1/8 of the road, stopping in 4 shops and 1 mini-mall.
Best part is, whereever we tarried, I had to make the decision, EVEN ON SKIRTS MY MOM WANTED TO GET FOR A FRIEND!
- My cousin driving a bike on the wrong side of the road into
oncoming traffic e.g. 20 oncoming bikes all speeding in our direction!
- Balancing while holding Faludas (Ice-cream) in one hand and flowers in the other on the back of my cuz's bike!
- Not being hit even once, even though there are almost no road
signs, and very few traffic lights. Turns out traffic just goes around
you, not through you!
- On one long car ride back, one uncle started complaining about
getting home really late, meaning that he'd miss his favourite soaps.
My other uncle then starts dissing him, saying how can he follow all
that nonsense where one person marries one person, then falls in love
with a second, has a child with a fourth, and does something or the
other with the 3rd who happens to be the firsts cousin, finally ending
up with 6 kids in this musical chairs of marriage, while marrying her
husband's father!
After this he bemoaned the fact that all the show times had changed so he couldn't watch his favourite comedy shows.
After this they argued about vegetables and helpers cooking them.
Hearing all this, my mom & I couldn't stop laughing!
- Finally I saw an Old man with a cane, nicely, peacefully taking a
leek right at the entrance gate, on the wall, of a primary school!
